Sunshine Morrison

With 15 years of communications and brand development experience, Sunshine specializes in helping organizations build strong brands, develop and launch new products and manage international public relations programs.

Sunshine has provided strategic counsel to diverse clients including: Autodesk, Castor & Pollux, Don Pancho Authentic Mexican Foods, Eades Nutritionals, Kodak Dental Systems, Nautilus, Norm Thompson, Rejuvenation, Reser's Fine Foods and The Washington Wine Commission.

Her clients routinely appear in top consumer media outlets such as Better Homes & Gardens, The Food Network, Health Magazine, BusinessWeek, Woman’s Day, Redbook and NPR, and in top retail trade magazines including Progressive Grocer, Deli Business, and Food Logistics.

Sunshine previously served as managing supervisor at Fleishman-Hillard International, the largest PR firm in the United States and the fifth largest worldwide. As a member of the Portland division's management team, she helped rebuild an office, led international media relations programs and created and implemented integrated marketing campaigns.

Before Fleishman-Hillard, Sunshine was vice president at Parker LePla, an integrated branding firm. She oversaw media training, product launches, employee communications, positioning, naming, media and analyst relations, strategic planning, customer profiling and brand development.

Sunshine has also worked as a marketing analyst at SAFECO Life Insurance Company where she earned her Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. She also held sales and marketing positions at high-tech startup HBS International and at UNUM, a life insurance company.

Sunshine grew up in a rural town where she learned the true meaning of farm-to-fork. She also learned how physically demanding it is to pick grapes, sort cherries and bag carrots—and has a deep appreciation for the hardworking farmers and workers that bring their crops to market.

Sunshine received her MBA from Portland State University, with an emphasis in food marketing through the prestigious Food Innovation Leadership Center. She earned a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound. In her spare time, she enjoys cruising farmers’ markets, watching movies, and dreaming about her next trip to Hawaii.
