Ready to “hop onto” the insect bandwagon? Many exhibitors at Natural Products ExpoWest think the time is right to launch foods featuring alternate protein sources. Here are our top 8 show picks:

Chapul bills itself as “The Original” Cricket Bar. We liked the Coconut, Ginger and Lime bar. It did have a curious crunch, which could have been the nuts—or our imagination.

Bitty’s tag line is “Delicious foods powered by Cricket Flour.” We enjoyed the Chocolate Cardamom cookie and couldn’t even detect its protein source.
